!! New for 2016/17 ski season !!
This luxury five-bedroom chalet is a rare treat in La Tzoumaz – ski-in and ski-out access, and an easy walk to the town centre! From the moment the automatic garage door opens to allow you into the snow-free underground parking, everything has been designed with skiers in mind: the parking is linked first to the chalet and then to the piste by a 70m shuttle cabin on rails that easily climbs the near-vertical mountainside, so that you don’t have to! This is what makes Chalet Sapin Argente ski-in ski-out. No more struggling onto a ski-bus with arms full of children’s skis and poles, and no need to walk around in your ski-boots. There’s also no need to clear snow from your car in the mornings as you can just park it indoors and forget about it until it’s time to go home. In fact, you really don’t need a car if you’re staying here in the winter. Due to its elevated position, Chalet Sapin Argente benefits from fantastic views across the valley and to the mountains up to 20km away. The large windows of the open living / dining area were specially designed to make the most of this ever-changing vista.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
With its five bedrooms and three bathrooms, this chalet is ideal for up to 10 people. Downstairs are two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, sink and WC. Upstairs there are two further double bedrooms, a twin bedroom, and a bathroom with bath and overhead shower, sink and WC. The third bathroom is on the main living floor and consists of a shower cubicle, sink and WC. If you wish to travel with children under 2 years old, just let us know and we will provide a cot and a high chair in your apartment.
The main floor of the chalet is an open kitchen/living/dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need for catering for two families, including oven, vitroceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and fridge-freezer. There are fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. Washing machine, hairdryer, iron and portable outdoor barbecue are all available for you to use.
At the end of a ski day, you can stop off at the Bar des Etablons for an apres-ski vin chaud, then ski home the last 250m to the shuttle cabin. Once inside, you’ll really appreciate the underfloor heating throughout the chalet, but that might not stop you from lighting the fire to add to the cosy glow of an alpine evening overlooking the village and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. There is a TV in the living room, and in one of the bedrooms there is a DVD-player with a selection of DVDs to choose from and a PlayStation. If you want to head out to one of the resort bars or restaurants, you can just take the shuttle cabin down to the parking level and walk 5 or 10 minutes to the town centre. If you fancy a day off from skiing, you won’t be bored because the luge piste runs past the chalet alongside the piste – you can use your lift pass to ride up to the top of the Savoleyres telecabin with your sledge. Please note that its better to rent a sturdy one from the resort as there are 10km of sledge runs between the top of the telecabin and the chalet!
Chalet Sapin Argente is equipped with free, high-speed WIFI for your own private use.
We’re sorry but this is a pet-free property. Please browse our selection of pet-friendly rentals if you would like to travel with your pet.
There is one parking space in the shared underground car-park on the premises. From here, a shuttle cabin carries you 30m uphill to the chalet. Should you travel with more than one car, additional parking is available only 150m away, in a lay-by on the main road. Car not necessary in winter due to proximity to ski-lifts, restaurants and supermarket. Contact us for railway or airport transfers.
This chalet is ski-in and ski-out (and sledge-in and sledge-out)! During the ski season, you only have to step into the shuttle cabin by the chalet door and you are carried the 40m uphill to the piste. From here you only need to ski (or sledge) 300m down the main piste and you arrive at the Savoleyres telecabin. At the end of the last run of the day, don’t forget to stop before the end and hop into the shuttle cabin to be carried the last 40m to your door. The main piste is not accessible to complete beginners, who would need to walk the 300m to the ski-school meeting point at the telecabin. The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. The “Bisses” are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved now and can be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We’ll provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier.
In the peak summer season from early July to late August, the telecabin link to Verbier operates daily from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian or accompanied by your bicycle. You can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for Europe’s highest fondue and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. Don’t miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.

Great views, location and had everything we needed. Really enjoyed our stay here and can't recommend this chalet or owners enough. Never been to Switzerland before so was really excited about coming here. The position of the chalet to see the amazing views was outstanding and the owners made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Lots to do in area and i'm sure being so close to the ski runs would be a real bonus to skiers. Would stay here again! (PM, Wales, 2016)

Gorgeous chalet with super easy access to piste. Lovely modern chalet with Swiss charm. We love to come back and back to this fantastic place, where you can be out of the front door and skiing within minutes or less. Chalet has great facilities and all the advantages of a modern home. Stunning mountain views, village with shops, bars etc just down the road, and varied skiing in whole Verbier area make this a perfect holiday destination. (CM, France, 2016)

Great chalet, superb views, ski in ski out. We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely chalet with its magnificent views. The private lift leading directly onto the piste above the chalet was amazing - just a brief ski down to the main gondola leading to Verbier. Would definitely stay again given the opportunity. Great location, within easy walking distance of resort centre. Very comfortable chalet (5 bedrooms/2 bathrooms), with a huge balcony that has stunning views out over the Rhône valley. This was my 2nd visit to le Sapin Argente and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends, especially during the ski season, with the slopes very easily accessible. Simply take the private funicular lift up to the piste and ski down to the main télécabine station. At the end of the day, just take the funicular back down to the chalet - no walking in ski boots. The chalet also benefits from an indoor parking space, with heated floor! (MS, Geneva 2016)

Great location, clean, well equipped, comfortable. Definitely recommend this chalet; it's nicely set up for a great holiday and you can pop back for lunch if you ski the La Tzoumaz area in the morning which is great if the kids are in lessons. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds comfy, boot warmer is a luxury and the view of the mountains is staggering. We found the little private lift that takes you to and from the piste or garage really useful and its only a short walk to the shops, ice rink and restaurants....we ate in Les Fougeres a couple of times. Most days we stopped off in the bar at La Croix de Coeur or Chez Simon before the last run home down through the trees. Loved it! (KH, UK, 2016)

The 4-Valleys is one of the largest interconnected ski-areas in Europe, with lifts linking La Tzoumaz to Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon. Altogether there are over 400km of pistes that cater for different levels of skiers. Beginners can follow long gentle trails (which in Switzerland are marked out in blue instead of green or blue) that wind around the mountainside, never going too steeply. Intermediates benefit from many long reds pistes, with up to 1,800m of height change between the top and the bottom of the lifts. For experts, not only are there numerous steep black runs, but also clearly-marked yet un-pisted yellow itinerary routes, where the snow conditions will test your skills to the full. There is a vast expanse of off-piste skiing where the local guides can show you how to access the freshest powder and the famous routes that include those used during the World Freeride Championships.

We love the fact that we are just next door to Verbier. We don’t promise to offer you lots of trendy resort bars and restaurants within walking distance of your chalet, but in the daytime our high-speed telecabin links you to the resort of Verbier, its mountain restaurants and its vast skiing network known as the Four Valleys. We can even arrange for you to spend the night partying in Verbier and shuttle you home when dawn breaks or when you are ready for sleep. Here’s a glimpse of what is out there:
